Abuse of rights is when someone uses their rights in a way that harms others or goes against the reason the right was created. There are two main types of abuse of rights:

When a country uses its rights in a way that stops other countries from enjoying their own rights or uses them to harm another country, it is called abuse of rights. For example, if a country uses its right to trade to stop another country from trading, that is abuse of rights.

In Louisiana, abuse of rights is when someone uses their rights in a way that harms their neighbor without any benefit to themselves. For example, if someone has the right to play loud music in their own home, but they do it at all hours of the night and it disturbs their neighbor's sleep, that is abuse of rights.

Both of these examples show how someone can use their rights in a way that harms others or goes against the reason the right was created. It is important to remember that having rights also means respecting the rights of others.
