Definition: An adjourned term is a continuation of a previous or regular term of court, but not a separate term. It is the same term prolonged.

Example: If a court has a regular term scheduled for January to March, but is unable to complete all of its business during that time, it may adjourn the term to continue in April. The April session would be considered an adjourned term of the original January to March term.
