AWAY-GOING CROPS

Away-going crops are crops that are harvested and taken away from the field, such as wheat, corn, and soybeans.

These crops are examples of away-going crops because they are harvested and taken away from the field to be processed or sold. They are not left in the field to be used as feed for livestock or for other purposes.

Corn is harvested and taken to a processing plant where it is turned into cornmeal, corn syrup, and other products. Soybeans are harvested and taken to a processing plant where they are turned into soybean oil, soy milk, and other products.
