Bona felonum refers to personal property that belongs to a person who has been convicted of a crime. Other types of personal property include goods acquired by free persons in a way other than through their paterfamilias, goods confiscated by or forfeited to the Crown, and property worth accounting for in a decedent's estate. Bona vacantia, or vacant goods, refers to property without an owner, such as property not disposed of by a decedent's will and to which no relative is entitled under intestacy laws.
