A conformed copy is an exact duplicate of a document that has been filed with an official clerk and stamped with an official seal. The clerk may make notes on the copy of original signature dates and any items that could not be transferred to the copy such as signatures.

For example, if you file a legal document with a court, you may request a conformed copy for your records. This copy will have the same information as the original document, but it will also have the official stamp of the court.

Conformed copies are often used as evidence in legal proceedings when the original document is not available. For instance, if a document is lost or destroyed, a conformed copy can be used in its place.
