Definition: Conjunctim is a Latin term used in Roman law which means "conjointly". When heirs are instituted conjunctim, they become coheirs with equal shares. This means that they will share the inheritance equally among themselves. Conjunctim is the opposite of disjunctim, which means "separately".
Examples: If a father has two sons and he institutes them conjunctim in his will, then both sons will inherit the property equally. However, if he institutes them disjunctim, then each son will inherit a specific portion of the property. These examples illustrate how conjunctim and disjunctim affect the distribution of inheritance.
