Definition: Crastino is a Latin term used in law history which means "tomorrow" or "on the morrow". In the past, court terms always began on a saint's day and writs were returnable the day after. For example, if a writ was issued on Monday, it would be returnable on crastino, which is Tuesday. Example: If a person was summoned to appear in court on a Monday, they would have to appear on crastino, which is the following day, Tuesday. This means that the person would have to prepare for their court appearance within a short period of time.
