Definition: Disaffirm (dis-uh-fuhrm), verb.

1. To reject or deny something previously agreed upon.
2. To declare a contract void.

Examples:

• After signing the lease, the tenant discovered the apartment had a pest problem and decided to disaffirm the agreement.
• The minor disaffirmed the contract they signed with the car dealership because they were not of legal age to enter into a binding agreement.
