A dual distributor is a company that sells products to both wholesalers and retailers at the same time. This means that the manufacturer or distributor sells directly to both levels of the distribution chain.

One example of a dual distributor is a clothing manufacturer that sells its products to both department stores and boutique shops. Another example is a food distributor that sells products to both grocery stores and restaurants.

For instance, a clothing manufacturer may sell its products to a large department store chain, but also sell the same products to smaller boutique shops. This allows the manufacturer to reach a wider range of customers and increase their sales.
