DURESSOR

A duressor is a person who forces or pressures another person to do something against their will or better judgment.

• A kidnapper who threatens to harm their victim's family if they don't comply with their demands is a duressor.
• An abusive partner who uses physical violence or emotional manipulation to control their significant other is also a duressor.

These examples illustrate how a duressor can use different tactics to coerce someone into doing something they don't want to do. In both cases, the duressor is using fear and intimidation to control their victim and get what they want.
