FEORME

Feorme (pronounced fuh-rm) is a historical term that refers to a portion of the land's produce that a grantee owed to the lord according to the terms of a charter.

For example, if a lord granted a piece of land to a farmer, the farmer would owe the lord a portion of the crops grown on that land as feorme. This was a common practice in medieval times.

Another example would be if a lord granted a portion of his land to a miller. The miller would owe the lord a portion of the flour produced by the mill as feorme.
