The Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE) is a federal law passed in 1994. It makes it a crime to use force, threats, or physical obstruction to harm, intimidate, or interfere with people seeking or providing reproductive health services. It also allows for civil lawsuits and actions by the U.S. Attorney General against those who damage reproductive health facilities.

Freedom of assembly is a constitutional right protected by the First Amendment. It allows people to gather peacefully to express their religious, political, or social views. This right is also known as the right to assemble.

For example, a group of people may gather in a public park to protest a government policy they disagree with. As long as they are peaceful and not disrupting public safety, they are exercising their right to freedom of assembly.
