Definition of gauger
GAUGER
A gauger is a surveying officer who checks containers of liquids to make sure they have the correct amount of liquid in them.
For example, a gauger might check a barrel of oil to make sure it has the correct amount of oil in it. They might also check a tanker truck to make sure it is not carrying more liquid than it is supposed to.
Another example is a gauger checking a bottle of wine to make sure it has the correct amount of wine in it. This is important because customers expect to get what they pay for.
A gauger's job is to make sure that containers of liquids have the correct amount of liquid in them. This is important because customers expect to get what they pay for. If a container has too much liquid, the customer is getting more than they paid for. If a container has too little liquid, the customer is getting less than they paid for. The examples illustrate how a gauger might check different types of containers to make sure they have the correct amount of liquid in them.
