Definition: Heredad is a legal term used in Spain. It has two meanings:

1. It refers to an inheritance or heirship. This means that when someone dies, their property and possessions are passed on to their heirs. The heredad is the property or possessions that are inherited.
2. It can also refer to a piece of land that is under cultivation. This means that the land is being used for farming or agriculture. The heredad is the farm or land that is being cultivated.

For example, if someone inherits a house and some money from their grandparents, that house and money would be considered their heredad. Alternatively, if a farmer is growing crops on a piece of land, that land would be considered their heredad.
