When something is done in odium, it means it is done out of strong dislike or hatred.

If someone gives a gift to a person who later does something very bad, they might take back the gift in odium of that person's actions. For instance, if a woman is given a gift and then later gets divorced because she cheated on her husband, he might take back the gift in odium of her guilt.
