Definition: Informal consideration is a type of consideration in which there is no limit on how often a member may speak to the same question.

Example: In a meeting, a member can speak multiple times on the same topic without any restrictions. This is an example of informal consideration.

This means that there is no formal process for limiting the number of times a member can speak on a particular topic. This type of consideration is similar to consideration in committee of the whole or quasi-committee of the whole, without the assembly resolving itself into a committee.
