Definition: An innocent converter is a person who takes someone else's property without knowing that they have no right to it. This person is not intentionally trying to steal the property, but they still wrongfully possess or dispose of it.

For example, if someone finds a lost wallet on the street and takes it home, they may be considered an innocent converter if they did not know that they were not entitled to keep the wallet. Another example could be if someone buys a stolen item from a thief without knowing that it was stolen.
