An international agreement is a contract or treaty between different countries. It can be called by different names such as conventions, pacts, acts, declarations, protocols, accords, arrangements, concordats, and modi vivendi. However, the more formal agreements are usually called treaties or conventions.

Examples of international agreements include:

• General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT)
• North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)

These agreements were made between different countries to promote free trade and reduce tariffs. They illustrate how countries can work together to achieve common goals and benefit their economies.
