A juridical person is an entity, such as a corporation, that is recognized by law as having the rights and duties of a human being. This means that the entity can enter into contracts, sue and be sued, and own property just like a natural person (a human being).

For example, a corporation can enter into a contract to buy a building, sue another corporation for breach of contract, and own the building it purchased.
