The Kellogg–Briand Pact is a treaty that was signed in 1928 by the United States, France, and 63 other nations. The purpose of the treaty was to outlaw war and promote diplomacy as a means of resolving conflicts.

Some of the countries that signed the treaty were Germany, Japan, and Italy, which later became known for their acts of aggression that led to World War II.

For example, Germany's invasion of Poland in 1939 violated the Kellogg–Briand Pact, as it was an act of war and went against the treaty's goal of promoting peace.

The Kellogg–Briand Pact was an important step towards promoting international peace and cooperation, but unfortunately, it was not enough to prevent the outbreak of World War II.
