Ligan

Ligan is another word for lagan, which refers to goods that are thrown overboard from a ship during a storm or accident and then later recovered.

• After the shipwreck, the divers found a lot of ligan on the ocean floor.
• The fishermen were excited to find some ligan floating in the water, as it meant they could sell it for a profit.

These examples show how ligan refers to goods that were lost at sea but then found again. In the first example, the ligan was found by divers after a shipwreck. In the second example, the ligan was found floating in the water by fishermen.
