The North Eastern Reporter is a collection of lawbooks that are part of the West Group's National Reporter System. It includes all published appellate decisions from five states: Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, New York, and Ohio. The collection covers cases from 1885 to the present day.

There are two series of the North Eastern Reporter. The first series ran from 1885 to 1936, while the second series is the current one.

For example, if a court case was heard in New York in 1995 and the decision was published, it would be included in the North Eastern Reporter.
