Obligee is a person or entity who is owed an obligation. This term is commonly used in contract law and family law.

In a principal surety relationship, the obligee is the creditor who can demand payment or performance from either the principal or the surety.

Under the California Uniform Interstate Family Support Act, an obligee is the person who is entitled to receive child support or who has been issued a support order or judgment determining parentage of a child.
