Securitatem inveniendi was a legal order from the Crown that required people to provide a guarantee that they would not leave the kingdom without the Crown's permission. This writ was replaced by ne exeat regno.

An example of securitatem inveniendi would be if a person was suspected of committing a crime and was about to leave the country. The Crown could issue this writ to prevent them from leaving without permission.
