A successful party is a term used in legal cases to refer to the party in whose favor a judgment is rendered, regardless of the amount of damages awarded. This party is also known as the prevailing party.

For example, if a person sues their landlord for not returning their security deposit, and the court rules in favor of the tenant, the tenant is considered the successful party.

Another example is when a company sues a former employee for breaching a non-compete agreement, and the court rules in favor of the company, the company is considered the successful party.
