An autocracy is a type of government where one person, known as an autocrat, has complete and absolute power over all aspects of society. The autocrat is not limited by any laws or regulations, and their power is often maintained through the use of military and police forces.

These examples illustrate how in an autocracy, one person or group has complete control over a country and its citizens. There is no democracy or representation, and the people have no say in how the country is run. Autocracies can be overthrown through popular rebellion or a coup d'état, but they can also be difficult to remove from power.
