A Board of Adjustment, also known as an Adjustment Board, is an administrative agencyresponsible for hearing and deciding zoning appeals. It is also referred to as a Board of Zoning Appeals.

For example, if a property owner wants to build a structure that does not comply with the zoning regulations, they can appeal to the Board of Adjustment to request a variance. The Board will then review the request and make a decision based on the zoning laws and any other relevant factors.
