A briber is someone who offers a bribe to someone else. They might do this to try and get something they want, like a job or a contract. Another word for a briber is a bribe-giver.
1. The businessman was caught trying to bribe the government official to get a contract for his company.
2. The athlete was banned from competing after it was discovered that he had accepted bribes to throw a game.
These examples show how a briber might try to use money or other incentives to influence someone else's decision.
