Homagio respectuando is a legal term that means "homage to the respected." It refers to a writ that was used in the past to command the delivery of lands to the heir of the king's tenant, even if the heir had not performed homage.

For example, if a tenant of the king died and had a son who was the rightful heir to the land, but the son had not yet performed homage to the king, the homagio respectuando writ could be used to ensure that the son received the land anyway.

This writ was used in medieval times and is not commonly used today.
