Definition: In Scots law, "id non agebatur" means "that was not done." It refers to a situation where the deceased did not intend to lower the value of their property for the benefit of their executor. The executor is therefore responsible for the true value of the property.

Example: John inherited a house from his grandfather. When his grandfather valued the house, he did not intend to lower its value to benefit John. Therefore, John's executor is responsible for the true value of the house, and cannot claim a lower value to benefit themselves.
