NO-DUTY

No-duty refers to the liberty or freedom to not perform a particular action or duty.

• A person has no-duty to testify against themselves in a court of law.
• An employee has no-duty to work overtime if it is not specified in their contract.

These examples illustrate the concept of no-duty by showing situations where an individual is not required or obligated to perform a certain action. In the first example, a person has the right to remain silent and not incriminate themselves. In the second example, an employee is not required to work beyond their agreed-upon hours.
