The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) is a part of the Employment Standards Administration in the U.S. Department of Labor. Its main responsibility is to ensure that contractors comply with Executive Order 11246, which prohibits job discriminationbased on race, color, gender, religion, or national origin.

For example, if a company is awarded a federal contract, they must comply with the regulationsset forth by the OFCCP. This means that they cannot discriminate against employees or job applicants based on any of the protected characteristics listed above.

The OFCCP also conducts audits and investigations to ensure that contractors are following the regulations. If a contractor is found to be in violation, they may face penalties or lose their federal contract.
