Pars Rea refers to a party defendant in a legal case.

When a legal case is filed, there are usually two parties involved - the plaintiff who files the case and the defendant who is being sued. In some cases, there may be multiple defendants. Pars Rea is a Latin term that refers to one of the defendants in a case.

For example, if a person is injured in a car accident and files a lawsuit against the driver of the other car, the driver would be the defendant. If there were passengers in the car, they could also be named as defendants and referred to as pars rea.

In another example, if a company is sued for selling a defective product, the company would be the defendant and any employees involved in the production or sale of the product could also be named as pars rea.
