Proprietas (prə-prī-təs) is a Latin term that refers to ownership.

Proprietas nuda (prə-prī-təs noo-də) is a type of ownership that only includes the title to property, without the right to use it.

Proprietas plena (prə-prī-təs plē-nə) is a type of ownership that includes both the title and the right to use the property.

When a person buys a house, they become the owner of the property. This is an example of proprietas plena because they have both the title to the property and the right to use it.

However, if a person inherits a property but cannot use it because it is being rented out, they only have proprietas nuda because they only have the title to the property, but not the right to use it.
