Qua

Qua means acting in the capacity of a certain title or position. It is used after identifying a person to signify that the rest of the statement pertains to that person in their specific role.

After being elected as the new CEO, John, qua CEO, made some important changes to the company's policies.

In the case of New Jersey v. Delaware, the Supreme Court ruled that Delaware, qua state, had the right to control the Delaware River.
