Definition of sanity
Definition: Sanity refers to the state or condition of having a relatively sound and healthy mind. It is the opposite of insanity.
Examples:
- When someone is able to think clearly, make rational decisions, and understand the consequences of their actions, they are said to be in a state of sanity.
- On the other hand, if someone is experiencing delusions, hallucinations, or other symptoms of mental illness, they may be considered to be in a state of insanity.
The examples illustrate the definition of sanity by showing how it is used to describe the mental state of an individual. When someone is sane, they are able to function in society and make decisions that are in their best interest.
