Definition: A scheme is a plan or arrangement that is either systematic or artful. It can be a connected or orderly arrangement of related concepts, such as a legislative scheme. Alternatively, it can be an artful plot or plan, usually designed to deceive others, such as a scheme to defraud creditors.
